ਊਹ੍ ਵਿ ਕੀ ਜ਼ਮਾਨਾ ਸੀ,
ਭੁਖ੍ ਲਗਦਿ ਸੀ ਖਾ ਲੇਨੈ ਸਾਂ,
ਨਹਿ ਮਿਲਦਿ ਸੀ ਰੋ ਲੇਨੇ ਸਾਂ,
ਰੋਂਦੇ ਰੋਂਦੇ ਸੌਂ ਲੇਂਦੇ ਸਾਂ.

ਏਹ੍ ਵੀ ਕੇ ਜ਼ਮਾਨਾ ਏ,
ਭੁਖ੍ ਲਗਦਿ ਏ ਖਾ ਨਹਿ ਸਕ੍ਦੇ,
ਨਹਿ ਮਿਲਦਿ ਟੇ ਰੋ ਨਹਿ ਸਕ੍ਦੇ,
ਰੋਯਾਂ ਬਗੈਰ ਸੌਂ ਨਹਿ ਸਕਦੇ.
